Volunteer in Europe

European Voluntary Service (EVS)

The European Commission, the European Parliament and the Member States of the European Union have agreed to establish the Youth in Action Program, which puts into effect the legal framework to support non formal learning activities for young people. It will run from 2007 to the end of 2013.

Action 2 - European Voluntary Service

The aim of the EVS is to support young people's participation in various forms of voluntary activities, both within and outside the European Union. Under this Action, young people (aged 18 to 30) take part individually or in groups in non-profit, unpaid activities. The service may last up to twelve months. In exceptional cases, young people from 16 years old may participate in European Voluntary Service.

Non-Profit Organization Explore is accredited to be an EVS sending organization in Estonia.
