VOLUNTEER IN GUATEMALA (Nebaj, Quiché)
Volunteer Positions Available with Mayan Hope:
- Special Education Teacher´s Aides
- Eco-Tour Guides
- Agricultural Production and Marketing Positions
- Maintenance Person
- Mayan Hope Restaurant and Hostel Workers
Requirements:
- good health
- open mind and patience
- preferably beginner to intermediate level knowledge of the Spanish language (Spanish classes can be arranged at cost approx. $4.00 U.S. per hour)
Volunteer costs:
The donation required is $600.00 U.S. for the first 2 months of stay which will cover all housing costs. Volunteers will be responsible for their own food costs (approx. $5.00-$7.00 U.S. per day). A donation of $150.00 U.S. per month will be required after the first three months. Long-term volunteer projects available and preferred. All donations will go directly to Mayan Hope projects, e.g. helping to run the Special Education School for children.
